Tips on taking better macros?
I was just curious if there is any way to get my macros clearer. It seems like it's focusing on the center (or wherever I meter it) but the rest of it seems blurry unless everything is all on the same plane. Is there any way to get the whole object clear?
Like in this picture, the center of the daisy seems focused, but the of the yellow part look fuzzy. Is there any way to get that clear while zoomed in?

That has to do with depth of field. (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depth_of_field )

Click on it and it gets a little bigger.
I set the focus (manually) at the middle un all three photos--the little tiny leaves budding. At f 2.8 (wide open)--just that tiny spot, is in focus, at 1/4 of a second exposure.
The second one, at f 8.0 but at 2 seconds.
The bottom one, at f 32, but at 30 seconds. Almost everything is in focus, but the aperture is at 32, which is tiny, so it takes 30 seconds for the light to enter the lens to equal the amount of the first one (which was only 1/4 of a second).
Basically you need a lens that you can adjust the aperture, and if this were a point and shoot camera, it would be almost impossible to do.
