I have an Olympus Evolt 410 and tried taking fireworks pictures with the fireworks setting.?
They all just have colored lines is this because I didn't use the tripod and was shakey?
That is right.
Shooting fireworks requires keeping the camera steady whether using a tripod or placing the camera on a firm object. No one can hand hold a camera for over about 1/8th second or longer without some camera movement being evident.
Actually there were some things you could have done to use the camera movement to enhance the image. Zooming during the exposure, rotating the camera 90 degrees during the exposure and moving the camera in a purposeful way during the long exposures.
