Video Camera recommendations...?
I'm looking to buy a Video Camera to start blogging with. Instead of writing some days, my plan is to post videos and be a little creative.
I'd prefer that the quality be in HD (16:9). A fold out screen would also be nice, and something that is tripod hook able. Brand doesn't matter to me, although a Sony would be nice. I'd sit my price range around $300.
Post any ideas with links. Appreciate your help and thanks!
Oh and something that is easy to hook up to the computer with. I'll need to edit the film.
Deciding on format is important,
HDD and Media cards, HDD cameras use a hard drive to store the video, it is in a compressed format, capacities range from 30GB up the amount of video (hours) depends on 1 size of drive, 2 how much you compress the information the more the compression the higher reduction in quality. You do need a good performing computer to edit the created video. many of the editing packages allow you to do this, but some you need to convert to a format that they will accept.
Once the HDD camera's drive is full then you are stuck unless you either record over the original video or you move the video to your computer.
Media cards (SD SONY) you can just put another card in to your camera.
On the lowest compression settings the results are good-excellent. on the highest lets just say its not that good.
Forget DVD at best quality only 20 min's ish recording times, maybe a little more, if you read other questions there are many problems with them.
If you are going to "post" your videos then the quality does not have to be the best.
