E8400 for $70 less is also a good buy and overclocks the same. E3110 is the same as E8400 but built to tolerate more stress and heat (the best locked multiplier overclockable CPU with Air cooling right now).
680i chipset is a great choice, but If you don't want SLI or RAID, most people would recommend a P35 DS3X northbridge chipset for only $110.

Corsair Dominator DDR2 1066 RAM overclocks very well. THe timmings can be reduced to 4-4-4-12 on most boards
9800GTX is a great choice, but if you have an SLI mobo, two 8800GT 512MB (OC) for $140 each performs better for only $280. Each card can also be OC to 800Mhz. Performs excellent under High Res and High SHaders.

By The Way, the New ATI 48XX card is due out mid June. THe Nvidia card is due out the same time, but may be pushed back.
