How do i connect my stereo to my television to get stereo sound?
i have a small set in my room and the only jacks it has is in the front here is what they look like {video(yellow hole)in audio(white hole)} then the back of myb stereo, which is a kenwood rxd-f4 has a white aux input and a red aux input hole. i hope this helps and is not confusing. i somply want the sound from the tele to come out of the stereo. i dont have a vcr or ps or xbox anything just those two electronics.
It sounds like your TV might not be equipped to send out signal for sound to be played be a stereo. The connections on the front are for inputting sound(white) and video(yellow) to the TV. The connections on the back would be the ones that send out signal from the TV.
If on the back of your TV you see a Red & White set of connections above them or next to them it should say AUDIO OUT or AUDIO IN. If it says AUDIO OUT connect that to your Kenwood AUX connections. If you have no output on the back you will either have to get a Cable box with AUDIO outputs, a better TV or a VCR you can run the cable through and then connect to the Kenwood.
Quick reminder. Yellow on any audio or video electronics is for Video. YELLOW=VIDEO. White or Black with a Red is for Audio. RED=AUDIO RIGHT. WHITE or BLACK=AUDIO LEFT. 99% of the time connections on the front are inputs. Connections on the back can be either input or ouput. Read the labeling around the connectors carefully.
