Slik tripod that holds 15lbs for only 140, seems better than more expensive ones even right?
I'm ready to order the tripod below! Unless someone can convince me otherwise. I have a budget of less than 150 and this seems pretty good, even better than the more expensive bogen manfrotto kits on BH. Holds 15lbs of weight! Yes I know the tripod itself weighs a lot but I don't care about weight, I'm a body builder as well.. an 8lbs tripod won't feel like much. And I won't be carrying it around on hikes or anythign either, so aside from the weight...is there any reason NOT to get this? All the reviews say it's very sturdy and it holds more weight than much more expensive tripods.

I won't be going crazy with it,t he heaviest thing that will go in it is a d300 with a 70-200 f2.8, but still I"d like my tripod to be sturdy and have the potential to hold more weight.
I have owned a Slik tripod for decades. This one looks like a good deal so you should buy it.
I suggest re-thinking not carrying the tripod with you. When I'm out on photography hikes my tripod is with me. Its invaluable for landscapes and those situations where the light isn't good.
