Disposable Cameras at Wedding?
I was thinking about buying disposable cameras for each table. I have read that a lot of people say they are a waste of money because the pics don't come out well. My questions is, are they tacky? I don't care if they come out bad as long as the guests have fun with them, but if they are tacky I don't want them at my wedding. Thanks!
We did the cameras. A few tips that I will share, after my experience:
We bought cheap, bulk cameras at BJ's. They did not come out well at all. If you do this, buy them from CVS or something, go for slightly higher quality camera.
Have the DJ/M.C. make an announcement. We actually had cameras that had no pictures, or only one or two taken, because people didn't know about them. (Really? Black and bright orange thing in the middle of the white and light blue table? What did you think they'd be for?)
Be prepared for some really stupid, ridiculous pictures. I had an uncle (who is, to put it mildly, not a fan of me) take pictures of the underside of the table and the inside of his mouth. But a lot of the pictures came out really good, too. So it balances...
Perhaps asking guests to take pictures of moments that are meaningful to THEM. I can't tell you how many different angles I have of the cake cutting and the first dance... I'd rather you take pictures of YOU or your table. I want to see YOU having fun!! 
My overall vote? Not tacky and quite fun!
