How many workstations are involved in a render farm on a major motion picture?
Can anyone tell me how many workstations compose a render farm in recent major motion pictures? I'm mainly looking for a figure from Revenge of the Sith but anything higher will work even better. And in the unlikely event the graphic artists would use Windows, which version would they be more likely to use? This is for an essay in a Linux course so if you can give a source that would be incredibly awesome, I'll even give you a shout out in my references.
