My camera is being difficult. What's wrong?
I have a Kodak EasyShare C913. It was working fine all day until I went to swap the memory card for a new one. As I was opening the battery slide, my finger brushed against the on/off button. I heard a faint click sound like it was turning off and the lense cover half closed. I tried to turn it on, it wouldn't come on. I swapped batteries with a new pair still not working. I placed the camera on it's portable printer which turned on. The printer registered the contents of the camera but once I took it off the camera wouldn't turn on.
What could be wrong with it? I really need my camera for a wedding this weekend.
What is SOL?
SOL = Sh*t Out of Luck
Sounds like the lens mechanism got jammed. You could try to unjam it but that might damage it worse. You'll probably need to get another camera for the weekend.
If it's still under warranty, pursue getting it fixed by Kodak.
But it might almost not be worth it. Unfortunately, it almost costs as much to get things fixed as it does to just replace them.
