Why can't I combine my audio and video on my Sony XBR9 when using HDMI and Stereo cables from my PC?
My video is coming from my PC by connecting a DVI to HDMI. (HDMI is plugged into the TV)
My audio is coming from my PC too by connecting a 3.5 to Stereo cables.(Left and Right)
The problem is every time I get video I don't get audio and every time I get audio I don't get video.
When I have the stereo and HDMI cables plugged into my computer I only get video, it cancel out the audio.
Well I doubt anyone can solve this unless they have the same problem...
My 52" Sony Bravia has three HDMI ports, and only one HDMI port has the analog stereo RCA sound inputs associated with it. The other two HDMI ports on my Bravia will not work at all with analog audio.
It might be the same with your XBR9, so you need to make sure you are using the one HDMI port that has the red and white RCA jacks next to it in the same connector grouping.
My computer is also connected to my Bravia using DVI-to-HDMI and the stereo-mini-to-dual-RCA audio cable. Works perfectly-- I get both sound and video no problems.
