Sony Trinitron won't work?
My Sony Trinitron is not a flat screen. I bought it in probably 2002 or 2003 or 2004.
Characteristics are
On top of it are buttons. (Volume, Channel, Video, and Power)
On the bottom is a hidden compartment that have 4 buttons (Menu, Channels Viewed and the other two are up and down buttons) The Menu and channels Viewed buttons are broken. There is also 3 colored jacks (Red, White, Yellow)
The problem is that the controller doesn't work anymore.
The other buttons on top of the T.V doesn't work either only the power button.
The main Problem is that the T.V stays on only one channel. (23) I tried to change the channel using the controller and T.V itself but it won't work. It says No signal but when I plugged in the signal wire it still won't work.
I know this question is soooo similar to my other one but a few days later the T.V broke again. I thought the T.V would work on some days and then break the next but a week later it still won't work. 10 POINTS!
Sounds like the microprocessor died on you....no keyboard action and no remote reception lead me to that conclusion....
Of course ALL IT TAKES is one stuck button to lock out everything except the power button, it has it's own "dedicated" data line.
So, press every button ON THE TV SET...not the remote.
If you have good hearing you should be able to hear each button make a "click" sound when pressed...if it doesn't click, you have a possible bad switch....
Worst case is the Micro is bad and needs replaced....total cost is about $200 to $240......
