SKY TV Magic Eye no longer works with new TV?
Hey guys, I've been using an Omnilink remote control extender (12v Powered) for the last 6 months to control my Sky box from the bedroom. Well I've just gone out and bought a nice new Sony Bravia TV with Freesat HD and now I can't change channels on the Sky box.
I've reprogrammed the Sky remote to control the new TV and that works fine, it just wont control the Sky box.
.........What I have noticed is that the light on the Magic Eye stays on as soon as it gets near to the TV (not the power light, the small light on the actual eye that flashes when you use the remote), and of course with the light permanently on it's blocking any signal I'm trying to send via the Sky remote.
Is the new TV somehow interfering with the Magic Eye?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Sometimes plasma TV's can interrupt the infrared transmission, it would be worth testing it in a seperate room away from the TV. However, I'm using a Marmitek extendor next to a Panasonic Viera Plasma and that has always worked well. Most likely a faulty extender.
