i would like to know what kind of camera to use if i wanted to start taking pics of trains etc??just a simple?
for a beginner..whats a good affordable camera for photographing trains???could i use a decent disposable?some of those are 800 speed..any advice will help..thanks all rail buffs out there
200 dollars or so..
Sometimes trains are stationary. Sometimes, they move. Sometimes, they move as fast as an aircraft. If you want moderately poor quality pictures of stationary trains in reasonable to good light, try using a disposable. If you want any sort of shot of a moving train, you will need a camera that you can control, especially the shutter speed. You need an SLR or a digital SLR. This also means that you will need a basic knowledge of the relationship between shutter speed, aperture, focal length of lens and film speed or ISO sensitivity. This is not the place for me to explain all this to you, but there are lots of places where you can learn about it. Finally, you need to define 'affordable'. This could mean anything without knowing your budget.
