what are some of the best digital slr cameras?
im deciding on buying a digital slr camera, and im not sure if i want a nikon or canon. or maybe another brand.
Both brands are excellent and have their strong devotees.
In my family different members shoot Nikon, Canon, Sony, & Pentax with each strongly supported.
You need to factor in the most important aspect - you. What are you looking to do in photography? What's your style and comfort level? Are there particular lenses that might sway your choice? How does each model feel in your hands and when put up to your eye? Are the controls, size, & shape a good match for you? These are factors that no review or dedicated DSLR supporter can decide for you.
Personally, I'm a fan of the Nikon line, having shot with Nikon cameras for decades. I've found them to be durable, dependable, and versatile, as the Nikon system is so well supported.
Nikon has just outsold Canon in Japan.
