Outdoor and Indoor Security Camera Kits
If you would want to get your premises monitored, it is best to go for CCTV security cameras. These cameras are a useful gadget to make your presence felt even if you are not physically present at the site. This means you have to install your cameras in those few crucial places in your premises, whether indoor or outdoor that would lead you to monitoring everything at once. Especially it is important to install them right at the entrance at a position from where you can see faces very easily.
Security cameras are not uncommon these days and are used by many for a variety of purposes but security and safety being the main reason. Nowadays, the main component of any surveillance system necessarily includes security cameras. These can mainly be divided into two types depending on the number of cameras. Security camera kits may have single camera unit or may involve multiple camera units. Now it depends on how many places would you want to install the cameras. If you want to buy them for personal surveillance purpose then single camera would be fine but for a bigger area like office, restaurant, shop or for a bigger house, it would be necessary to go for multiple camera system.
There are two main components of most security camera kits. The first one is a digital video or security camera system itself. Depending on your need, you can go for the type of cameras which are meant for outdoors or indoors. The outdoor ones are especially built for no light or very low light compatibility. The second component is a digital video recorder or DVR that is usually inbuilt in the cameras or comes as a separate unit. This also comes with a digital signal processor or DSP. For outdoor cameras, the camera units and digital signal processors are more powerful and can record images clearly even in very little light.
Security camera kits usually also contains all cables and plugs that are required to connect it to all necessary places. However, these do not come with additional monitors unless you would want to buy them separately. Otherwise, the digital video recorder units can be plugged in to most compatible monitors like LCDs or computers. Most people would not go for a separate monitor for security camera systems but at the same time, it is important to have a monitor that gives good clarity. Otherwise recognizing faces and other details would be difficult
But how do you understand as to how powerful is your security camera kit? This can be understood by a universal code called as IP code or IP rating. This code consists of two digits. The first digit speaks about the size of the object that the camera can clearly see. This ranges from 0 to 6, 6 being dust small. The second digit indicates how water proof it is. This ranges from 0 to 8, 8 being the best secured from exposure to water.
If you note down these small things before buying your camera, then choosing the correct one for outdoors or indoors would be much easier for you.
