What is the price of old cameras?
Hi,
My grandfather was a photographer. I have some of the old film Nikon SLR cameras taken by him. Now since the film cameras have become absolute i want to sell them. The local photographer are ready to take those but at very low price.
Please some one help me as where i will get the good price of those.
I also have some lens that come along with the cameras. I want to sell those also.
Please can someone help me.

If they had belonged to my grandfather there is no way I'd sell them. I'd either use them or set up a display of his cameras and some of the pictures he made with them along with pictures of him.

You can also ask for estimates as to what each item is worth and then add about 30% if you want to sell them locally.
Are you aware that all the lenses your grandfather owned can be used on a current Nikon DSLR? Of course the local photographer knows this and is quite willing to pay you a low price for the cameras and lenses since he/she knows their real value and knows that you don't. So if you're determined to sell your grandfather's equipment then at least educate yourself as to its value.
Film is most certainly NOT obsolete.
