How much should i charge for music i've composed and performed for a TV commercial?
Hi,
I have composed and performed a song which is being used on a TV commercial. The commercial will be broadcast regionally and the company have said £150,000 will be spent over the first 6 months with more if it goes well.
I am not really sure how much i should be charging for this as it's the first time i've done it. Should i be doing a buyout or go for a share of the media spend? How much of a share do you think i should get?
doesnt this come under performing rights. you should get a royalty every time it is used. talk to the performing rights people they will advise you.
