how to preserve macbook battery and adapter?
how can i keep both my macbook battery and charger in good condition?
i use the computer about 5 hours on weekdays and about 10 on the weekends( yeah yeah i know computer nerd.)
is it possible to be able to use less electricity and keep the charger and battery in good shape for a long time?
There is no worry about your charger; however, it is well known that the capacity of rechargeable batteries descends by the time. Their life span could range from a few months to a few years depending on their type, application and working conditions. Here are the factors that have the most effect on the life span of rechargeable batteries.
•Keeping the battery fully charged all the time leads to battery deterioration, which means avalanche occurrence in the dielectric layer between the positive and negative poles inside the battery.
•The life span of the battery is also dependent on the number of fully charging and discharging times.
•Also, exposing the battery to the heat (usually more than 30 degrees) decreases the life span of the battery significantly.
To prolong the life span of the battery, you should avoid fully charging /discharging it. Try to keep it half charged if you have power manger that could do so. Finally, try to keep the battery away from the heat sources, and unplug it from your computer if the charger is plugged all the time.
