How do I set a video as my computer background?
I have asked this question before, but people just keep giving me vague details. Please give me a specific answer with clear instructions on how to set a video as my background(preferably step-by-step instructions).
This is an interesting question, and I don't have a definitive answer, but this information may help. I assume you have Windows and by background you mean your desktop background.
To display a video on your desktop you would need Active Desktop which is an add-on to Internet Explorer. I'm not sure if it available for version 6.x, but there is more information available at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q165695/#appliesto
If you right-click on your desktop, look for "Active Desktop" in the context menu. If you see it, select it. The right-click on the desktop again, choose Properties, then Settings (I believe, I don't have this available on my pc right now) ... find the tab that contains the settings for Active Desktop.
I believe you will have to provide a URL pointing (presumably) to a web site that plays or contains a video of some sort. I believe that whatever is displayed on the web page will be displayed on your desktop. You can resize the frame of the active desktop window to suit your requirements.
One example of what you're asking about would be a web page that displays live webcam images, of traffic for example.
... another alternative (depending on what you're looking for) is simply to play a video in full-screen mode using Windows Media Player, Winamp, etc. and Alt-Tab to a running application in the foreground ...
