Shadows on my pictures?
Ok I did a photo shoot today of my daughter on a pink canvas background. I have studio lights and used them for the first time and also just got a nikon D40 and used the portrait setting and all my pics have a shadow...I am really upset...what happened??
If you can put a link to an example it would make it easier to answer the question. Here is one possibility. If she was too close to the background so that the shadow from the lights fell on the area of the background that was in the frame then it will cause a shadow. You can move her further from the background, move the lights so they don't cast the shadow on the background, or move the camera so the shadow is not in the composition.
