Theater and Acting: IS me being the only one in the show without a British accent look weird on stage?
For our show we are doing a Medieval Play.
EVERYONE HAS A HEAVY ACCENT... except me, because mine didn't sound good.
The director to just do an American one, but being one a of the higher supporting roles with a few more lines then others ( I never leave the stage), would i look to much like a black sheep?
could i just have a light accent so for the word i have trouble with i could be american but on the easier ones be a tad more British?
maybe practice it for a while and u might get it............or you could be american on the hard ones and british on the hard ones but don't do it to heavy cause it might sound weird. or you could be the cool one that's is a little different. its a medieval play so you could just say it all in old english and still sound american that might work...just trying to help
