1999 Mustang transmission kind of hard putting in gear but more importantly reverse gear grinds sometimes?
My 99 Mustang 3.8L 5 speed is sort of hard putting into gear at times. Ive driven stick many times before and have had some go into gear a little hard and then some easier. But my main concern is every once and a while when i go in reverse it will grind sometimes when the clutch is fully depressed. The clutch feels fine and it drives good and everything but i have also noticed when going in reverse that remote controlled car sound you hear in manual cars when driving in reverse is a little chattery. i was maybe told the synchro's are going bad? any ideas? I dont believe my slave cylinder is bad because my fluids are all good.
Also any ideas how much a synchro would cost to get fixed?

sounds like the synchro...does it grind a little also when it gives you trouble shifting? if that's the case then it's almost certainly t he synchro.
but until you get it fixed, try letting the rpm's decrease a little before putting into gear & put it in 5th first then reverse to cure the reverse grinding issue
