any web sites devoted to van customizing? The more pictures and how-to's the better?
I have a Dodge Caravan, 2006, Patriot Blue with Grey and Grey fur interior, limo black all around, interior all lit in Blue LED's, overhead DVD, CD, Ipod, Dual Illuminite Speakers hooked on to the factory deck, power inverter and laptop, several halogen add-ons up front and flourescent blue tubes all around... sort of a mobile entertainment and photography studio on wheels and with the "peppy" 4 - cylinder I can cruise faster than the speed limit with four adults and the AC on high here in Hawaii - We need more custom vans!
I don't know of any right off the bat. Most custom work is not mass duplicated. Each custom creation is the builder's and the customer's idea. With a van, the only restriction is the limit of your imagination.
The mass produced 'custom' vans I have seen in the south east are either the southern comfort edition or the choo choo customs vans. These were basically a standard van with an extended top. There was alot of nice wood work, but the electronics were out of date (120vac 13" TVs, old school VCRs) There was nice frosted mirror work, hidden lighting, plush fabrics and plenty of cup holders, ashtrays and storage compartments.
I wish I had a van to play with...
