how long do regular light bulbs last? and how long do fluorescent light bulbs last?
I have to write about light bulbs (a persuasive paragraph) and so i need to know how long a fluorescent one last compared to a regular one?
Please help!
and if anymore reasons why fluorescent are better.. (keep in mind im only in 8th grade)
It says on the end of the lightbulb silly. Oh yeah and also a website. It varies though, a regular bulb is approx 6000 hours and a flourescent could be 11000 to 20000 hours so in other words they last for years. Flourscent bulbs are allegedly better because they use less power. They use about 13 watts compared to a 60 watt bulb which is a regular light bulb. So count the lights in your house and multiply that by 60 watts or by 13 watts and you'll see the power you'll save using flourescents. The one downfall of flourescents that most people don't know is that they have mercury in them which is not very good for then environment either. Don't put that in your assignment lol.
