Police lights brighten policemen and their vehicles
Undercover police lights are slightly different ones that can be mounted on different parts of the vehicle as required. Besides that, hand held flashlights are also important lights that define both the identity and functionality of police. Policemen are stars of the streets, both metaphorically and literally. While it is the power vested on them by the laws of the land that makes them stars in the metaphorical sense, it is police lights that make them stars in the literal sense.
Police lights make police vehicles visible from a distance either as symbols of threat or symbols of comfort, based upon who is seeing the lights. These lights that make them so visible may be light bars, beacons, or flashing strobe lights. The most popular lights for police vehicles are light bars that come in colors of red, blue, amber, and white. The colors are variously used for warning, for traffic guidance, or to convey the message of arrival.
LED light bars are the popular choice for vehicle police lights these days. However, light bars span a wide spectrum using different technologies like fluorescent lights, halogen lights etc. Police lights are also modified to suit the size of the different vehicles used, including special size lights for police motorbikes. There are even small halogen mini light bars that can emit a substantially bright light because of its rotating reflectors.
Police lights required for undercover operations are slightly different from the lights that are used to make the vehicle conspicuous and have road access to proceed at high speed. Since undercover policemen cannot afford to flash their lights all the time, those on different type of operations choose to mount them at different places. Since a variety of mounts are available for mounting these police lights, they can be easily detached and mounted at another part of the vehicle or on a different vehicle.
Undercover operation lights are variously available for grill mounting, surface mounting, for mounting on the bumper on the front or at the sides, or to be mounted on the license plate. L-brackets as used for mounting many of these police lights. As in the case of other types of lights, they come in blue, red, amber, and white, and will have several flash patterns. Most models will have nineteen flash patterns.
However, the luminosity of the policemen is dependent not just on the police lights that their vehicles flash. Policemen on night patrol may glow variously like a streak of lightning, like fireflies, or like blinking carnival lights and this is because of the flashlights they carry. These lights may be held in hand, kept in holster, inside the duty belt, in pocket, or maybe strapped on to the body in various ways. Police apparel like tactical pants are designed with pockets deep enough to hold even big flash lights and some tactical boots have pockets that can hold these police lights that are an all time appendage of policemen during their duty years.
